Dynastar´s Legend series skis have been a dominant presence in competitive big mountain skiing for close to a decade. The Dynastar Legend Pro Rider 115 skis are stout but surfy athlete developed skis with 3D Wood Core construction, two layers of titanal and full-length vertical sidewalls to provide a beefy, bombproof feel that performs in the most demanding conditions. The slow-rise Freeride Rockered forebody combined with a fat-boy 115mm waist lends float, maneuverability and forgiveness when charging deep or variable snow conditions. This ample landing pad and stiff, more traditionally shaped, tail stomps mandatory airs and powers out of big turns. An aggressive fall line seeker equally at home on open AK faces and Chamonix's chutes. The Pro Rider 115 stakes its claim as a hard charging do-it-all plank for the strongest of big mountain skiers.
SHAPE:
All Snow Rocker has a fairly long rocker, progressive only in the tip, for improved terrain absorption and impeccable flotation in powder. Ski pivoting is facilitated, making forward/rearward balance easier and reducing muscular fatigue when off-piste. The flat tail enables skiers to maintain the heel power crucial for high-speed freeriding and off-piste jump landings.
CONSTRUCTION:
Traditional sandwich technology of Wood and Titanal layers guarantees precise carving stability and excellent torsion rigidity. The power is provided by two layers of fiberglass whose basic weight (thickness) can vary depending on the model and the desired skiability. The double Melamine/Phenol sidewalls ensure flexibility and power according to the skier's needs in the different phases of the turn.
FLEX:
The 3D Wood Core is hollowed out in the center where the stress is less intense and reinforced on the ski exterior, improving power transmission to the edges. The ski is therefore lighter, not only enhancing skiability but also improving performance and control. The Titanal top sheet is cut out to respect the shape of the core to provide light weight, grip, and ski-snow contact.
Binding Compatibility: recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.
